The Requirement

Mobil Oil's blending plant at Ellesmere Port had a high number of visitors and on-site staff, all of whom were required to undergo health and safety inductions before being allowed access to the plant facilities. This can be time consuming so a way of doing this quickly, yet conveying all the appropriate information was needed.

The Solution

An interactive kiosk system that uses animations, cartoons and multiple choice questions was developed by Amatica. Visitors run through a series of questions to ensure they are aware of hazards before proceeding into the plant. Regular employees can also use the system to update their knowledge on a regular basis.

The Outcome

The system has helped to reduce the number of accidents at Mobil's Cheshire plant and raised awareness of health and safety issues.
