Dorset Healthcare NHS Trust has bought Amatica's kiosk based mental health information system. The system provides patients and their families with access to information and services on a range of mental health issues including support and treatments.

Amatica has installed three Archer kiosks, equipped with 17" touchscreens and A4 thermal printers at 3 hospitals in Dorset. The system, designed and hosted by Amatica, is already used by other NHS Trusts including Oxleas Mental Health Trust.

Dorset Healthcare NHS Trust provides specialist Mental Health and Learning Disability services for residents across Dorset. The Trust has received a number of awards for excellence under the Government's beacon scheme and is recognised as a leading healthcare service provider. Building this reputation involves close links with its service users and carers.

Commenting on the new initiative, the trust's chief executive, Roger Browning said "This new Internet facility is an important part of our drive to raise the levels of support we are able to offer to mental health patients and their relatives".
