Birmingham Midshires website continues high rating by independent web survey specialists Business2WWW

Repeating past successes, Birmingham Midshires' website, ASKBM.CO.UK has been awarded a No 2 placing on a list of websites belonging to financial services organisations. The monthly independent survey is undertaken by Business2WWW who specialise in monitoring websites for errors, accessibility and performance.

Top of the league in the June 2004 survey was Co-operative Bank with Birmingham Midshires in second place. Others in the survey's top ten included Leeds & Holbeck, Intelligent Finance (IF) and Nationwide.

Bottom of the league for the third consecutive month was Abbey. Websites that generated the greatest numbers of errors included Coventry Building Society and Alliance & Leicester. The websites of Britannia, Portman, LloydsTSB and Abbey Websites were analysed to have less than 1% compliance with W3C's web accessibility initiative guidelines.

Birkenhead based Amatica has provided Internet and web design, development and technology services to Birmingham Midshires since 1999. Amatica is currently working with Birmingham Midshires to further improve website accessibility and compliance with W3C's WAI (web accessibility initiative) guidelines beyond the 88% identified by the survey.

ASKBM.CO.UK's high rating continues its track record of being website success with consumers as well as independent surveys. The surveys are undertaken by Business2WWW using their SiteMorse website analysis software.
