Management Facilities Services (MFS) is a supplier of building security systems on Merseyside. Recognising the need to update their computer network, they approached Amatica to carry out a full diagnostic and determine which systems needed to be upgraded.

Following a full audit of MFS' IT infrastructure and business systems, Amatica noted several issues with network equipment, servers, PC's, printers, back-up strategy, security and provided recommendations for improvements to their current configuration.

It was also apparent MFS had not considered or implemented a disaster recovery plan, had insufficient hardware, no anti-virus, corporate email and high risk omissions in their security systems due to incorrectly configured firewall and internet router.

Amatica devised a plan to completely overhaul their IT systems providing security, redundancy and increased performance.

To meet MFS needs Amatica implemented the latest Dell and Microsoft server technologies along with a full security overhaul including the latest anti-virus software, firewall, a full disaster recovery plan and a virtual private network for remote sales employees to access centralised business applications
