New release of Etcetera knowledge management software

A new release of Amatica's etcetera SKM knowledge management software is now available. This latest release includes new functions and facilities which provide greater control of content management as well as invaluable statistics on content usage.

Following the success since its launch in 2002, Etcetera SKM has been enhanced with more powerful facilities. The latest upgrades improve Etcetera's existing functionality to manage knowledge content through the capture and signposting of information. Etcetera SKM makes knowledge content and information easily accessible to users via a simple search interface.

Etcetera SKM is used by organisations such as Pilkington, solicitors RMNJ as well as public sector organisations including Business Link and Shepway, Ashford, Thanet, Dartford and Tonbridge & Malling councils.

The latest release sees a range of new features for workflow and team-working including greater facilities for managers to control, track and publish information. Amongst the new facilities are in-built user prompts to enable team leaders to review pending entries.

Etcetera SKM provides online reporting of usage including the frequency content is accessed, departmental publishing activity, redundant content as well as user searches which have resulted in an unsatisfied enquiry.

Publication of knowledge content within Etcetera SKM can also be restricted by domain. This allows an organisation to house all information, for both internal and external use, in the same repository. By categorising information as either public or private, it is now possible to publish internal information on a company intranet and external data on a public facing web site.

Etcetera SKM has been designed to meet the needs of organisations with a diverse range of knowledge and internal information management needs or customer service requirements. This makes it suited to a wide variety of organisations including local authorities as well as industrial and commercial companies.
