Action MultiMedia secures business and software IPR from In Touch

Following the business closure of e-Government kiosk specialist In Touch (Public Access Systems) Limited, Action MultiMedia has secured In Touch's on-going business as well as the intellectual property rights (IPR) to their specialist video conferencing and kiosk management software. Action MultiMedia will provide ongoing support to existing customers in addition to continuing development and marketing of the software and services.

In Touch's customer contact software known as CitizenLink and TownLink is used by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council where it has been instrumental in establishing East Riding as a lead example in the delivery of improved customer services to rural communities. Other local government organisations have shown strong interest in using this facility to deliver their customer services.

In addition to In Touch's software, Action MultiMedia are offering to transfer In Touch kiosk maintenance contracts. These will be fulfilled through Action MultiMedia's existing managed services operation.

David Brown, former managing director of In Touch says " I'm delighted that the software will continue to be marketed and improved. I look forward to working with Action MultiMedia to provide a smooth handover between them and In Touch's previous customers.

Sue Roberts, Action MultiMedia's managing director said "Acquiring In Touch's software further consolidates Action MultiMedia as a significant provider of customer contact solutions for e-Government".

Action MultiMedia now operates under the trading name of Amatica.
