University FAQ goes mobile

To extend our successful student services kiosk solution, Amatica has launched a mobile app that provides access to the same student information via mobile phones.

With more than 50% of students now owning a smartphone, accessing course and university information via a mobile app is becoming more and more popular.

With that in mind, Amatica has recently launched a mobile version of its successful Proximity KMS for Universities and Colleges.

Many app developers are still only concentrating on one or two of the most popular mobile platforms, effectively excluding a large part of the target audience. In contrast, Amatica’s Proximity for Mobile is designed to be cross platform, so is compatible with any web-enabled mobile phone including iPhone, Android and Blackberry.

Amatica launched its self-service KMS solution for universities and colleges just over a year ago, with Manchester Metropolitan University being the first customer.

With universities and colleges looking for ways to reduce administration costs but maintain services, Amatica self-service kiosks have proved popular with educational institutions across the UK.
