Wireless bandwidth technology comes to Merseyside

Amatica is delighted to announce a new partnership with Metronet UK, the UK’s leading provider of secure wireless IP networks.

The deal enables Amatica to offer Metronet’s unique service to organisations across Merseyside.

Metronet UK’s wireless technology offers high bandwidth internet services, capable of streaming live video and CCTV footage and supporting business critical applications.

Metronet UK launched in Manchester in 2003 and over the past two years has expanded into Liverpool, Leeds and Dublin. Its independence from BT and other third party networks means it can offer low cost installation within just 5 days and unrivalled levels of reliability and support. Customers can also see up to 80% cost savings against a comparable BT leased line.

Alex Morris, senior business development manager at Metronet UK says, “We’ve been looking for ways to grow our customer base in Liverpool for some time. Amatica’s track record and depth of technical knowledge makes them an ideal partner to help us achieve that goal.”

“Metronet’s innovative technology adds a new dimension to Amatica’s portfolio of technical services.” says David Roberts, Amatica’s director of strategy and marketing. “In the current climate, businesses are looking to drive down costs without compromising on quality of service, making Metronet’s wireless networks an attractive and compelling alternative to leased lines.”

Metronet already boasts a number of high profile public and private sector customers including in addition to a number of Local Authorities, the Greater Manchester Police, for which Metronet is a Strategic Partner. Metronet currently supports in excess of 250 CCTV cameras across the Greater Manchester area and has provisioned connectivity for the Liverpool Philharmonic whose world class performances are broadcast live over the web via a Metronet connection.
