Happy 10th Birthday Action MultiMedia!

Originally incorporated as CD Sports on 11th December 1992, Action MultiMedia has achieved its 10th birthday.

In a decade which has seen an explosion in IT start-ups, the arrival of the Internet and the DOT.COM boom and bust, Action MultiMedia is fighting fit and providing web, business and kiosk solutions to commercial and public sector organisations.

Originally established to develop CD-ROM based multimedia for the sports education market (hence the original name CD SPORTS) when single speed CD-ROM drives were state-of-the-art, Action MultiMedia has evolved into a professional and mature IT product and services company.

Today, Action MultiMedia's customers cover the UK and include household names such as Birmingham Midshires, Pilkington and the NHS; local government organisations such as Bedford Borough, Gwynedd, Liverpool City and Shepway District as well as agencies such as Greater Merseyside Enterprise.

Customers use our hardware and software products; business and technical skills; and services for new business generation (sometimes worth hundreds of millions of pounds), customer service improvement as well as business efficiency and cost improvement.

We have installed circa 450 kiosk devices across the UK; manage, support and maintain numerous network and Internet servers and maintain in-house technical and deliver skills to ensure quality of service.

All this is a very long way from a tiny team developing first generation multimedia to run from floppy diskettes and CD-ROMs on MS-DOS!
