North Huyton awards housing relocation management software contract
Merseyside's North Huyton New Deal for Communities has awarded Amatica the contract to deliver a software system to manage the delivery of services under a substantial relocation programme for North Huyton residents. The contract was awarded to Amatica against a number of criteria including quality of delivery, timescales and value for money.
The relocation programme, which is being managed by North Huyton New Deal for Communities, involves the coordination of services to residents currently living in properties due for demolition into new homes. The system will provide a central core of information associated with the programme of relocation and rehousing, enabling the North Huyton project team to record information, monitor progress and access status information on key issues in a prompt and reliable way. One aspect of the housing relocation management system is to maintain the records and provide an audit trail for the project.
Amatica is designing and developing a management system that will record household details together with details of relocations. In addition, records of the health and social care services that individuals are drawing are recorded to ensure that these critical services are seamlessly transferred. The new management system will ensure that the delivery of North Huyton's redevelopment project is tightly managed with a full audit trail supporting sensitive decisions.
Commenting on the award, Jackie Patterson, North Huyton's health project manager said "To ensure best value for North Huyton, we went out to tender and received a number of proposals from local and specialist companies. We awarded the contract to Amatica as a result of the quality of their approach and appreciation of our requirements. They took the time to understand our needs and requirements and communicated their proposals to us in language that was easy to understand".
For Sue Roberts, Amatica's managing director, the public sector remains an important market for the company. "Amatica works with a number of clients in both private and public sectors. Whilst our financial services sector work is important, I believe that Amatica should endeavour to make its expertise available to the local community and public organisations where our contribution can be positive. We're really pleased to be working with North Huyton."
