VPN service for self-service kiosks in Derbyshire and Staffordshire
Following a review of networked managed services, Amatica has won the contract to provide ADSL and virtual private network (VPN) services delivering network and internet connectivity for 12 kiosks located within Derbyshire and eastern areas of Staffordshire. The contract commenced at the start of 2007 and will run for three years.
The contract requires Amatica to manage the procurement of replacement lines, the conversion of kiosk systems to ADSL, as well as installing and configuring new routers and firewalls.
Working with UK services company Serco through 2005 and 2006, Amatica managed the delivery, installation and management of the self-service kiosks for a collective of councils known as the Derbyshire Consortium. The consortium comprised of Derbyshire Dales, North East Derbyshire, South Derbyshire and Staffordshire Moorland councils.
