Newcastle-under-Lyme Council enhances kiosk self-service

Following the success of its kiosk initiative, Staffordshire's Newcastle-under-Lyme Council has upgraded its self-service kiosk with keyboard access. The enhancement gives local citizens improved access to planning applications and related information as well as access to other council services via the council portal. The kiosk upgrade removes the need to use virtual on-screen keyboards which public users generally find difficult to use.

Commenting on the service upgrade for Newcastle Council, Mark Sampey, Amatica's manager responsible for public sector customers said "We're pleased to assist Newcastle in improving access to citizen services. Our work with Newcastle shows that we're here to assist all our public sector customers, both large and small".

Amatica is a leading provider of self-service public access kiosk terminals, associated terminal management services and software development services to the public sector. Its customers include local government, the National Health Service and not-for-profit organisations.
