Amatica developed websites lead HBoS group websites for quality and speed

Research undertaken in April by website audit specialists SiteMorse has placed Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBoS) company websites designed and developed by Amatica at the head of a league table of 36 HBoS websites. The survey rates websites against code quality, performance, accessibility and response.

Leading the table are websites developed by Amatica for HBoS owned Birmingham Midshires: askBM.co.uk and BMSolutions.co.uk occupy the top two positions. Another HBoS group website, bankofscotlandinternational.co.uk, which was designed by Amatica, is placed 6th.

Commenting on the survey, David Roberts, Amatica’s director of marketing and strategy said “Amatica’s raison d’être is to deliver a positive online customer experience. This latest survey shows that the quality of service Amatica delivers isn’t by accident – it’s by design!

“SiteMorse is sometimes regarded as a ‘bête noir’ by design agencies and IT departments responsible for poorly rated websites.” says David Roberts. “It's not infallible, however; it provides a quality benchmark that is really valuable for measuring customer experience."

SiteMorse specialise in independent website surveys using automated techniques to measure code quality and freedom from errors, accessibility, download speed and performance over modem and ADSL connections.
