West Lancashire District delivers kiosk-based online housing services
Delivering online access to housing services is a key part of West Lancashire District Council's e-Government strategy
Action MultiMedia has provided touchscreen kiosks and re-purposed information from the Council's own housing web pages for use on the kiosks.
In order to enhance visibility of the information, and ensure visually impaired users can access the system, the web site content has been enhanced for use on kiosks by using large fonts, interactive controls, high contrast colour schemes, and simplified menu layers.
The new system has been constructed in such a way that the West Lancashire web team will be fully able to sustain development of the system and content themselves.
Action MultiMedia now operates under the trading name of Amatica.
