Plymouth - Banjul Challenge reaches the Sahara

As we reported two weeks ago, Amatica is sponsoring Tom and Graham Ibbotson in their bid to complete the 2007 Plymouth to Banjul challenge.

The intrepid adventurers are progressing well, having reached Laayoune in the Western Sahara this weekend.  Along with several other participants, Tom and Graham spent the night in a Bedouin camp before setting off again across the desert.

With around 1500 miles still to travel to Banjul in the Gambia, the car (a 1988 Renault 21 Savanna), Tom and Graham are coping well with the challenging desert conditions.
