Birmingham Midshires training portal award nomination

Birmingham Midshires' Credit Development Academy training portal has been nominated for the ifs/Capgemini Financial Innovation Awards 2006. The nomination is for the Most Innovative Training Initiative or Programme - Technical category. The awards are sponsored by the IFS School of Finance and Capgemini.

The Credit Development Academy known as CDA is a Birmingham Midshires' initiative that also serves other parts of the HBOS group involved in mortgage lending including the Bank of Scotland and the Mortgage Business (TMB). The Credit Development Academy is the result of a strategic partnership between Birmingham Midshires and Sheffield Hallam University designed to help improve the academic excellence of employees up to an MSc in Business Intelligence.

Amatica is responsible for the design and build of the CDA intranet system. David Roberts, director responsible for Amatica's business relationship with HBOS was delighted to learn of the nomination. "The nomination for Birmingham Midshires' Credit Development Academy follows on from the nomination of askBM.co.uk for the Financial Services Technology Awards earlier this year. It's always a boost when projects we work on gain wider recognition and awards. We wish Birmingham Midshires every success and that they'll beat off some stiff competition".

Other nominations within the same category include Barclays with two nominations; Absolutely Training and Finance Academy, RBS Client Service Management and Just retirement - CeLM Initiative.
