Bank of Scotland International is the latest organisation to take Amatica's Proximity content management suite. Proximity is being used to deliver the offshore bank's intranet service to staff based in the Isle of Man, Jersey and Hong Kong.

Proximity's facilities for managing website and intranet services include publishing workflow, news and events systems, an FAQ system that can be scaled to deliver knowledge management and document library publishing. Proximity also provides a range of reporting facilities, providing web and intranet site managers with essential information on content popularity as well as content deficiencies.

In addition to the content and functionality delivered by Proximity, Bank of Scotland International will integrate two existing in-house applications developed using Microsoft's SharePoint Services software.

Bank of Scotland International employs over 200 staff located in Douglas in the Isle of Man, St. Helier in Jersey and Hong Kong and is the offshore banking arm of HBOS plc. HBOS, with 22 million customers and assets of over £440 billion, was created by the merger of Halifax and Bank of Scotland in 2001.
