Supportal wins nomination in New Statesman New Media awards
Supportal, Wirral's community information portal, designed and created by Amatica, recently won a nomination for best Community and Information website in the 2005 New Statesman awards.
The New Statesman New Media Awards 2005, in association with Atos Origin, highlight the positive impact of new media technology on public life. The key themes of this year's awards are ingenuity, modernisation and accessibility.
Supportal offers easy and ready-to-use facilities to deliver two-way communication and engage with community and voluntary groups. It delivers an Internet portal through which local businesses, community organisations, residents and visitors access information and documents online as well as providing the community with easy-to-use tools to publish online.
This nomination is testament to Amatica's technical and design expertise in creating such an innovative product in Supportal and for its impact on the local community.
