The Requirement

To develop an online mortgage intermediary service for Vertex Financial Services' client, Deutsche Bank, to enable IFAs to submit and manage mortgage applications online.

Amatica was engaged to deliver the customer experience and web integration elements to enable straight-through processing of mortgage applications by intermediaries online. The system links to Vertex's Omiga mortgage processing system.

The Solution

Deutsche Bank's online service delivers straight-through-processing of mortgage applications, decisions in principle (DIP) and Key Facts Illustrations (KFIs). Extensive case management functions enable independent advisers and packagers to keep track of their clients' mortgage applications.

• Easy management of promotional and brand content by Deutsche Bank and Vertex
• Runtime pre-validation of user data entry through application business logic to reduce user errors and frustration
• Efficient data transport through in-built data mapping
• Integration of third party services, such as QAS, BankWizard, Retail Logic and Experian
• Integration of the web system with Vertex's Omiga mortgage application processing system
• Specification of web services interfaces to the presentation layer

Amatica also integrated its Proximity content management facilities into the online intermediary service to enable authorised users to add or change appropriate online content, such as news and product information, whenever necessary, removing the need to rely on a dedicated web developer to make changes to dynamic content.

The Outcome

With mortgages covering sub-prime, self cert, buy-to-let and property portfolio mortgages, this was one of the most sophisticated and complex offerings in the sector. The service provided by Amatica and delivered under Vertex's business process outsourcing (BPO) enabled Deutsche Bank to deliver service, speed and efficiency to its intermediary and packager partners.
