Wirral Investment Network (WiN)
The Requirement
The Wirral Investment Network (WiN) plays an important role in the ongoing redevelopment of Wirral, by attracting major investors and supporting key business initiatives in the region.
Members include Arriva, Givaudan, Shell, MerseyTravel, Unilever and Vauxhall (General Motors). The public sector is represented by Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council, Wirral Primary Care Trust and Wirral Metropolitan College.
WiN required a new website and brand that would be compatible with the organisation's aims and objectives and provide a consistent image across all corporate communications - website, literature and corporate stationery.
The Solution
Critically, the WiN team required facilities to enable website content to be administered by Wirral Direct staff, particularly news items, events and the member database. Amatica's Proximity content management system gives the WiN team the facilities to update these key areas of the website themselves, with little or no support from Amatica.
Proximity's news database enables the creation, management and publication of news and press releases, with accompanying photographs, without the need for HTML or programming knowledge. ProXimity's events editor and business directory are also integrated with the new WiN website.
Amatica is providing WiN with its SME Class managed hosting service, which includes high level specifications of servers, bandwidth and firewall and security protection.
The WiN website was designed to meet W3C accessibility standards and perform consistently across all browser platforms. On its launch winpartnership.org was given a 10/10 rating by the independent website rating service SiteMorse.
The Outcome
